"Excellent essential oils"
I have been buying Doterra oils for nearly 7 years and never had any problems, or complaints from my family and friends who use them. They have made my life so much better with pain control, improved health, education and charities, that I think overrides any problems other reviewers have had with administration. Some people have been unethical in handling clients accountants etc., and the company discourage this which I hope will persuade everyone to maintain the high moral tone of Doterra in future. Thank you Doterra for helping my aging body to restore joy in my life.

"Disappointed"
I made the mistake of ordering the same product twice. When I realized my error, I left a message right away to cancel. I followed up first thing in the morning to cancel. They could not cancel my order even though the item had not even been shipped. I am very cautious with companies like this. Not impressed.

"Duplicate order"
When Placed the order they did not even mention about subscription. I was charged after a month for the full amount of the last order. Not going back again

"Very disappointed about their oils"
Very disappointed about their oils! I spent more than 500 euros buying their products because i had some problems with my skin, and now, after 3 months, i have the same problem and others much worse because of those oils. Now i have to find a cure which can hopefully treat the damage their oils did!

"Harassment"
I was harassed on Social Media for several hours by one of their contractors over a meme that I did not create. Arena Cheney kept trying to be little me and harass me continuously after first contacting me on Facebook. Someone who is aggressive and hostile, should not be able to interact with the public if they're being violent.

"SCAM"
When I joined as a "builder" I was told I would be paid in credits and not taxed. As I was never paid but paid in goods I was written a taxable income slip to claim their "credits" I was not able to convert these credits to cash. I am very disappointed in how the company does business.

Money making machine. They don't care about the health of customers, its just a big scam to get some people rich.

"Leaving this pyramid scheme after many years"
I needed to 0ause my account, for a month, for travel purposes. However, customer service and 2 supervisors denied the pause and suggested I involve neighbors, family, or friends to make/receive orders for me or I will lose my status and my points. Let me tell you that it took me over a year to climb to a status of 30% and I've been saving my earned points (for a specific oil that's rather expensive) so this would not work for me. I asked had I been extremely ill and hospitalized then what, I'd be sanctioned for not order their monthly minimum? Her response was hopefully a family, friend, or neighbor would stand in so I wouldn't lose my status and points but there's absolutely nothing that would allow me to skip or paused without consequences. I've been a loyal member, ordering a minimum of $125 per month but sometimes $400 plus orders per month so when she added that other members depend on my orders to make money, it confirmed 100% that this is a pyramid scheme and doTERRA who makes multimillions doesn't have any consideration or care for the very people who buy and sell their products which make them all that money... I'm super disappointed, to say the least. I will be using my points for my next months order then leaving this company. The products are so much more than others great companies and I won't have to deal with their very strict policies with very fine print rules that don't support or benefit the buyers. I gave two stars because the oils are good quality and can be taken internally.
****However, recently (2023) Prop 65 has been added to anything claiming that can be taken internally now (on the website) which now states that each product contains lead and other chemicals known to cause cancer which was newly added to all oils that can be taken by mouth just this year of 2023. This is not only concerning to me but now I cannot sell them without notifying each buy about the law that states it's been known to cause cancer.

"Best essential oils I have found."
Prior to finding doTERRA oils I had been using various brands which I purchased from both box stores and on line outlets. I would consider myself well above novice when it comes to blending oils for certain fragrances as well as for particular medicinal properties. I've been making soap for a couple of decades and find essential oils....well, essential. doTERRA oils are the best oils I have found. The quality of oils is outstanding, and the notes (scents) are spot on.
I will not be buying oils anywhere else unless something drastically changes. I have never had an issue with customer service or any of the consultants, though it does take a little effort to figure out how all the policies apply. I did consider giving 4 stars because the cost of some of the oils seem exuberant, but they are still worth every penny of the extra cost (not saying I wouldn't like to see a few prices come down a bit).

"Don't listen to the haters"
Back in 2011, I joined doTERRA and tried the MLM experience. It didn't work for me since I wasn't ready to put in the energy to grow my business. But I stayed on with a basic wholesale account.

I simply don't understand the negative product reviews on this site. The only time I had an issue with the quality was when I bought from someone reselling doTERRA oils on eBay. I got Kumquat from that buyer, since doTERRA stopped carrying it. That was a mistake and I sent it back to the seller.

Every oil I've bought directly from doTERRA has been top quality. They are one of the very few essential oil companies that says you can use their oils internally, and I do... in my coffee, in my smoothies, in my recipes. I also use the oils, like Helichrysum to heal wounds and it's amazing. The Deep Blue helps tremendously with muscles. Their On Guard mouthwash is absolutely amazing. I can go on and on.

- Are doTERRA oils and products expensive? Yes, but they are safe and top quality.
- Will you make a million dollars selling doTERRA. Probably not, unless you really are great at marketing and networking. If so, you can make really good money.
- Is doTERRA cult-ish? Yeah, kinda, not really. I buy the oils at wholesale prices and they are happy with that. I get promotional emails and that's about it. But you can go full-in and do all their seminars and the annual conference in Utah as well to get that 'all-inclusive' feeling.

In summary, the negative reviews here are probably from the competitors like Young Living. Buying products directly from doTERRA monthly for over ten years is proof enough for me that they sell quality items. The few times that I've had to call in for support has been without issue.

Simply put - Don't listen to the haters.

"Customer Service is the best I've encountered"
I have used doTerra products for the past 7 years and doTerra's customer service has been exemplary. They personally answered every question and addressed the very few problems I've encountered...like when I received an order that was missing one item. I chatted in to a real person from their website and doTerra sent the product that day, no additional charges including tax and shipping. Or when I received a bottle of oil that had leaked during transit, reshipped with no charges. Or when my order never arrived, they reshipped the entire order without charges AND when the package finally arrived a month later, they said keep it, no charges. Each time it took less than five minutes to resolve with a real person. Very generous and trusting of the consumer. I choose when and what to order in my personal account. My loyalty order is completely customizable and can be closed any time I'm ready. I only have to chat in to do so. I have replaced most things in my medicine cabinet, cleaners, and personal products with doTERRA products. The annual membership, which gives 25% off every product and other perks if you want to take advantage of them, is cheaper than Sam's or Costco and you get a free peppermint oil as a gift for renewing. My family and I have been blessed with these products.

"DoTERRA x-employee whistleblower product and overall company review"
After being employed by doTERRA International I can give insider review about quality of doTERRA products, services, and company culture that is no longer reflects Christian traditions where company become radical in terms of promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion on top of fanatic display of critical race theory. I feel that doTERRA no longer represents Utah Christian values and become one of the most radical companies I've ever worked for where Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion has its own department that is pushing LGBTQ ideas on all of their employees. DoTERRA HR consist of lunatics that push LGBTQ, critical race theory, diversity/equity/inclusion on all of their employees and if you ignore them, they will kick you out of the company. As for doTERRA products and after using their products for years, I personally realized that all of their product quality is NOT what they advertising on top of being unreasonably expensive and overpriced by comparing to any competitions. DoTERRA online technologies are completely 15-20 years outdated, have pretty much zero security, and an extremely poor quality. After learning about their security, I would never trust doTERRA with my personal information and especially my credit cards that literally can be hacked at any given point. I never created or shopped for doTERRA products online due to that security risk and neither should you!

"As a loyalty member I am very disappointed."
Their products are not cheap. On top of it they charge $25 yearly membership renewal and send every year the same unwanted peppermint oil as a "gift" to compensate for this charge. You can't choose a gift that you actually need. A choice between 2 or 3 products would be great. The last straw was my order of the sunblock lotion. Please, see the pictures of two sealed containers, how much of the product they actually contain and how misleading the container size is. The customer service explained that the manufacturer chooses to leave empty space so there is no pressure in the container. I responded that for the 13 cm long tube 6 cm of empty space seems like overkill. And it's uneven from one tube to another. They told me they are not responsible for the manufacturer's choice! I am speechless.

“Melaleuca, the very 1st essential oils company, has their essential oils go through more tests to ensure purity than both DoTerra and Young Living. As far as their prices, Melaleuca sells their essential oils for between 30% - 60% less than those companies.”
